# Cutscene > Cutscene (cutscene.studio, also called Cutscene Studio) is a web editor for motion-design films: product launches, feature drops, demos, teasers. Films are assembled from ready-made pieces written in code, with sounds synthesized by our code; no AI model generates their images, video or sound. A person may add a voice-over made with their own ElevenLabs account, and the exported file then says it was made by an AI. The editor: https://app.cutscene.studio. People can also drive it from their own assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code) through an MCP connector. ## Connect an assistant (MCP) - Connector address (remote MCP server, Streamable HTTP, sign-in to a Cutscene account): https://app.cutscene.studio/mcp - Your assistant cannot add it by itself, even if you ask it to: you add it, once, by pasting this address, then you click “Allow”. It takes a minute. - Claude, on claude.ai or the desktop app: Customize → Connectors → “+ Add” → “Add custom connector”. - Claude on a phone: the app cannot add one. Do it once on claude.ai, in a web browser: the connector then shows in the app. - ChatGPT, on chatgpt.com: Plugins → + button → “Add custom MCP server”. - Mistral's Le Chat: Connectors → + → “Custom MCP Connector”, with a name without spaces: Cutscene. - Then paste the address as the server's address, sign in to Cutscene on the page that opens and click “Allow”. The access is removed at any time in https://app.cutscene.studio/account/apps (“Connected applications”). - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http cutscene https://app.cutscene.studio/mcp`, then /mcp to sign in. - Cursor, in ~/.cursor/mcp.json: `{"mcpServers":{"cutscene":{"url":"https://app.cutscene.studio/mcp"}}}` - VS Code, in .vscode/mcp.json: `{"servers":{"cutscene":{"type":"http","url":"https://app.cutscene.studio/mcp"}}}` - On one's own computer, without an account: `npx -y cutscene-mcp` (the npm package cutscene-mcp, Node.js 20 or later), with CUTSCENE_DIR set to the folder the films are written in. - ChatGPT, sur chatgpt.com : Plugins → bouton + → « Add custom MCP server » - Le Chat de Mistral : Connecteurs → + → connecteur MCP personnalisé (« Custom MCP Connector »), avec un nom sans espace : Cutscene - Toutes les étapes : https://app.cutscene.studio/connect ## Pages Every page is in French at its address and in English with `?lang=en` (the links below); a browser gets its own language. - [Cutscene Studio: the MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT](https://app.cutscene.studio/connect?lang=en): Connect Cutscene to Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code: add a custom connector with the address https://app.cutscene.studio/mcp, then click “Allow”. In a new film, the library opens on the templates. - [Starting from a template](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/partir-d-un-modele?lang=en): Look at the templates, try them in your format and your style, then open one in the editor. - [Your brand: logo, colours, typefaces](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/ta-marque?lang=en): Your product's name, your logo, your colour and your typefaces, on the whole film at once. - [Writing your texts](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/tes-textes?lang=en): Replace the examples with your words, put words in colour, fill a list. Click a text of the film and type: your words replace the example. - [Putting your screenshots in](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/tes-captures?lang=en): Show your product in the scenes that have a screen. A scene that shows a screen displays an example picture and the “Put your screenshot” button. - [Adding, changing, moving a scene](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/les-plans?lang=en): A scene is one idea on screen. Add some, swap one, change their order. The “+” next to “Scenes”, at the bottom, opens the library's scenes. - [Transitions](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/les-transitions?lang=en): What takes one scene to the next: try it, keep it, take it away. The small round button between two scenes, at the bottom, opens the transitions on the left. - [Styles](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/les-styles?lang=en): Change the grounds and the typefaces of the whole film in one click, keeping your colour. The “Ready-made styles” are in the “Your brand” panel. - [Music and sounds](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/musique-et-bruitages?lang=en): Change the music, add a sound, place it where it belongs. Click the “Music” band, at the bottom: the music opens on the left. - [Length](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/la-duree?lang=en): A scene longer or shorter, or the whole film to the second. At the bottom, pull a scene's right edge: its length shows while you pull. - [Bring in an animation: Lottie, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/importer-une-animation?lang=en): A file from another program becomes a scene of yours, in your brand's colours. - [Vertical for Reels and TikTok](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/le-vertical?lang=en): Turn the film to 9:16: each scene recomposes itself, nothing is cropped. The “Format” button, under the film, turns it vertical, portrait or square. - [Exporting as MP4](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/exporter-en-mp4?lang=en): Check what is left, make the file, download it. “To complete”, at the top, lists what is still an example: “Go there” takes you to it. - [4K](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/la-4k?lang=en): Exporting in very high definition, with Pro. In “Export”, “Quality” offers “HD (1080p)” and “Very high (4K)”. - [Open your film in After Effects or DaVinci Resolve](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/after-effects-et-resolve?lang=en): A project to finish your film in another program: what stays editable, what comes as pictures. - [Asking in your own words](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/demander-a-l-assistant?lang=en): Write or say what you want to the assistant, then keep it or leave it. - [What the assistant can do](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/ce-que-sait-faire-l-assistant?lang=en): Every gesture of the editor can be asked for too. What it does, and what it leaves to you. - [Credits](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/les-credits?lang=en): What the assistant does for free, and what takes credits. - [The plans](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/les-offres?lang=en): Free to begin, Pro or Studio to go further. - [Cancelling or withdrawing](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/resilier-ou-renoncer?lang=en): The two pages to stop a subscription: what each one does. Each film is kept in your browser, at every change. - [Sharing a template](https://app.cutscene.studio/guide/partager-un-modele?lang=en): Give your film to others as a starting point, without your brand or your pictures. In “My films”, under a film: “Share as a template”. ## Developers - [The tools](https://app.cutscene.studio/developpeurs/outils?lang=en): What your assistant can call, online and on your computer. - [API keys](https://app.cutscene.studio/developpeurs/cles?lang=en): The access “Allow” gives, your account's keys, what they open and how to withdraw them. - [Limits](https://app.cutscene.studio/developpeurs/limites?lang=en): How many requests, what weight, how long: the figures the server applies. - [The format of a film](https://app.cutscene.studio/developpeurs/format?lang=en): A film is a .cutscene.json file: what it holds. - [Writing your own pieces](https://app.cutscene.studio/developpeurs/pieces?lang=en): Write a scene, a transition or an effect of your own, with the connector on your computer. - [Integrations](https://app.cutscene.studio/developpeurs/integrations?lang=en): The services Cutscene works with through your own account, and where each stands. ## Optional - [Full text](https://app.cutscene.studio/llms-full.txt): this file, the plans, the templates, and every guide in full, in English and in French.
